Deaf Youth Education and Leadership Summit

The goal of this program is to organize an Educational and Leadership conference for DHH Youths at least once a year. Currently, our primary goal is to have the conference in East Africa. However, in the future, we would like to expand the conference to other parts of the world where there is a need for Educational and Leadership training for DHH Youths. They are free for the youths to attend.

In 2016, the educational and leadership Conference for the DHH will be held in Rwanda. The conference will serve the youths primarily from these five East African communities: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.  Our goal is to sponsor 100-150  youths with free lodging and food for the duration of the conference. The topics of the conference will focus on HIV/AIDS education in compliance with UN goals and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) goals for two days and the leadership and empowerment for two days.
