We support Deaf and Hearing parents who have children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and collaborate with the professionals who serve all of our children.
Deaf Youth Education and Leadership Summit
An Educational and Leadership conference for DHH Youths that is held at least once per year. Serving youth living in five East African communities: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.
Community Outreach Program in Africa (COPA)
COPA supports the Rwandan government effort of the Rwanda Sign Language Dictionary Project in collaboration with three local organizations: Rwanda National Union of the Deaf (RNUD), Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), and National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPD).
Step-Up for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth
Advocating improvement of the educational experience for DHH youths by challenging the traditional role of language interpreters in educational settings. The work and decisions of interpreters make a significant impact on the school experiences of DHH students.
